These Terms of use govern access to the Lagoa Santa Goiás portal (lagoasantagoias.com.br) and the use of its content. By browsing the site, you agree to them. If you disagree with any point, we ask that you not use the portal. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

1. What the portal is

Lagoa Santa Goiás is an information guide to the municipality of Lagoa Santa, at the far south of the state of Goiás, Brazil, created in 2009 and maintained independently by a private individual. Its purpose is to gather, in one place, useful information for tourists, residents and businesses: attractions, lodging, how to get there, phone numbers, festivals, history and geography of the town.

2. Independence: we are not the City Hall

The portal is not an official website. It has no ties to the Lagoa Santa City Hall, the City Council, the Government of the State of Goiás, Thermas Lagoa Santa or any other business, except where expressly identified as an advertiser. Official information, such as laws, public notices, office hours and dates of public events, should be confirmed directly with the City Hall by phone at (64) 3640-1303 (from abroad: +55 64 3640-1303) or by e-mail at prefeitura@lagoasanta.go.gov.br. The use of the name "Lagoa Santa Goiás" on the portal is purely descriptive of its subject matter.

3. Accuracy of information

We do our best to keep the content correct and up to date, based on public sources (IBGE, the City Hall, state agencies), information from the establishments themselves and reader reports. Even so:

• Prices, opening hours, phone numbers and addresses change without notice. Published prices are for reference and should be confirmed with the establishment before your trip.
• Distances and travel times are approximate.
• Festival and event dates are published based on the usual calendar and may be changed by the organizers.
• Information about fishing (licenses, spawning closures, catch limits) and about health (thermal bathing) is general guidance; consult the current legislation and, where appropriate, a doctor.

The content is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it is complete, accurate or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of it or for losses arising from outdated information. 4. Permitted use of the content

You are free to read, print for personal use and share links to the portal's pages. Short excerpts of text may be quoted with attribution and a link to the original page. Without written authorization, you may not:

• reproduce entire pages or substantial portions of the text on other websites, apps or printed materials;
• copy the photos for commercial or editorial use;
• use automated systems to extract the content in bulk;
• alter or remove credits and copyright notices.

5. Photos and copyright

The photographs published were taken by the portal's team or submitted by readers and residents, who by submitting them authorize their publication with credit when requested. The rights to each image remain with its author.

If you are the author of a photo published here and did not authorize its use, or if you appear in an image and want it taken down, send an e-mail to diretoriasites@gmail.com identifying the page and the image. We will remove or credit the photo as quickly as possible, usually within 5 business days, with no formal procedure required.

6. User-submitted content

By submitting photos, videos, texts or information for publication, you declare that you are the author or are authorized to submit it, that the material does not infringe third-party rights, and you grant the portal a free, non-exclusive license of indefinite duration to publish it, edit it (cropping, resizing, text corrections) and display it on the portal's pages and social media accounts, always with the agreed credit. You may revoke this license at any time at the e-mail address above. We reserve the right not to publish material we consider inappropriate, offensive, off-topic or of insufficient quality.

7. Advertising

The portal is funded by advertising and labels it as such. There are two kinds of ad:

• Google AdSense ads, served automatically by Google and labeled "Advertising". We neither choose nor endorse the advertisers in these placements, and the content of the ads is the responsibility of Google and the advertisers.
• Ads from local businesses, booked directly and displayed in spaces such as the Business directory, the sidebar and the lodging and dining pages. A business's presence in these spaces means it has purchased advertising, not that the portal has assessed its quality. It is up to you to check prices, conditions and reputation before hiring any service.

We receive no commission on reservations, tickets or services booked through links on the portal, unless stated on the page itself. Editorial articles are not paid for by establishments.

8. External links

The site contains links to third-party pages, such as hotel websites, Thermas Lagoa Santa, the City Hall, public bodies, weather forecasts and social networks. These links are offered for your convenience. We do not control the content of those sites, we are not responsible for it, and a link does not imply endorsement. External sites have their own privacy policies and terms of use.

9. Site availability

We try to keep the portal online 24 hours a day, but it may become unavailable due to maintenance, hosting failures or reasons beyond our control. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time, without prior notice.

10. User conduct

When using the portal's forms and channels, you agree not to submit content that is illegal, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or infringing on third-party rights, not to impersonate another person or company, and not to attempt to compromise the site's security. Messages of that nature will be discarded and, where necessary, forwarded to the authorities.

11. Data protection

The processing of personal data collected by the portal, including through cookies, Google Analytics and Google AdSense, is described in the Privacy Policy, drawn up in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018, the LGPD, Brazil's data protection law). Your rights as a data subject and the channel for exercising them are detailed there.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the update date at the top. Continued use of the portal after a change means you agree to the new version.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, in particular the Civil Code, the Consumer Protection Code, the Marco Civil da Internet (Brazil's Civil Rights Framework for the Internet, Law No. 12,965/2014), the Copyright Law (Law No. 9,610/1998) and the LGPD. For any dispute, the courts of the user's place of residence shall have jurisdiction where the user is a consumer, or, in all other cases, the courts of the judicial district of Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil, to the exclusion of any other.
