Contribute to the website

A website about a town of 1,400 inhabitants can only stay up to date with the help of the people who are there. Residents, shopkeepers, anglers and tourists know before we do when a guesthouse opens, when the bus station's phone number changes or when the July festival adds a new act. This page explains what we accept, the rules for photos and texts, and how to send them.

Send photos

The website's gallery has 32 images of the lagoon and the river, and we want to expand it with other angles, other seasons and other places in town. Rules:

• Your own work. We only accept photos taken by the person sending them. Do not pass on images by others, from social media or from other websites.
• Resolution. Send the original file, not reduced, preferably at least 1,600 pixels on the longer side. We do the cropping and compression.
• Published credit. Every photo is published with the author's name in the caption, and the author keeps the rights; the website only receives permission to use it on the site and on its social media.
• People in the picture. If the photo shows an identifiable person, especially children, we need permission from that person or their guardian. Crowd photos at public festivals are accepted.
• Tell us the place and date. Say where and when the photo was taken, so the caption is correct.

Send articles, news and events

The guides page will start publishing news and events from the town. We accept texts about festivals, fishing tournaments, openings, actions of the city hall and the town council, school and church projects, travel stories and historical curiosities. The text must be original, contain information that can be confirmed (date, place, organizer's contact) and be signed. We review it, edit it when necessary and publish it with credit. For events, send them in advance: a festival announced the day before helps nobody.

Correct information

Phone numbers change, restaurants close, guesthouses change owners and the city hall changes its opening hours. If you find wrong or outdated information on any page, especially on useful phone numbers, where to stay and the business directory, let us know. Tell us the page, the wrong information and the correct one and, if possible, the source (the business's new card, an official notice). Simple corrections are made within a few days.

How to send

Use the form on the contact page or write to diretoriasites@gmail.com. For a large number of photos, send a link to a shared folder (Google Drive, Dropbox or similar) instead of attaching everything to the e-mail. Put one of these words in the subject: "Photos", "Article", "Event" or "Correction".

What we do not accept

• Content copied from other websites or generated without human review.
• Advertising disguised as an article. To promote your business, use the advertise page.
• Political propaganda, attacks on people or institutions, and offensive content.
• Photos with third-party watermarks, screenshots of social media or images of people without permission.
• Rumors and unsourced information, especially about health, safety and public bodies.
