Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data the Lagoa Santa Goiás portal (lagoasantagoias.com.br) collects, why it collects it, with whom it shares it and what your rights are, under the terms of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018, the LGPD, Brazil's data protection law) and the Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet (Marco Civil da Internet, Law No. 12,965/2014). By using the site, you declare that you have read and understood this document.

1. Who we are

Lagoa Santa Goiás is an independent information portal about the municipality of Lagoa Santa, in the state of Goiás, Brazil, created in 2009 and maintained by a private individual. We have no ties to the Lagoa Santa City Hall or to any public body or tourism business in the town. For the purposes of the LGPD, the party responsible for data processing (the controller) is the portal's maintainer, who can be reached by e-mail at diretoriasites@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

2.1 Data you send us

When you use the Contact us or Advertise forms, we collect only what you fill in: name, e-mail, phone or WhatsApp (optional), company name (for advertisers) and the content of the message. When you submit photos, videos or texts for publication, we also collect the material submitted and the name you want to appear in the credit.

2.2 Data collected automatically

Like any website, our servers and the third-party tools described below automatically record technical information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, pages visited, date and time of access, referring page, screen resolution and cookie identifiers. This data is used in aggregate form for statistics, security and the display of advertising.

2.3 What we do not collect

We do not ask for your CPF (Brazilian taxpayer number), bank details, passwords, health data or any other sensitive data. There is no registration or login area on the portal. If you accidentally send sensitive data in a message, it will be deleted.

3. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. The portal uses:

• Necessary cookies: they store simple preferences, such as the light or dark theme and the dismissal of the cookie notice. They do not identify you.
• Statistics cookies (Google Analytics 4): they measure audience, most-read pages and traffic sources, with anonymized IP addresses.
• Advertising cookies (Google AdSense): they allow ads to be displayed and their effectiveness measured, including personalized ads based on your visits to this and other websites.
• Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram): measures visits coming from ads on those networks. It is only loaded after you click “OK, got it” or close the cookie notice; until then, no analytics or advertising cookies are stored and Google ads are shown without personalization.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them does not prevent you from reading the content, but it may disable preferences and ad personalization.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, to understand how the site is used. Google collects the data described in section 2.2 through cookies and processes it on its servers, including outside Brazil. The reports we receive are aggregated and do not allow us to identify individual visitors. You can prevent collection by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5. Google AdSense and personalized ads

The portal is funded by advertising revenue displayed through Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-5456977749299862). This means that:

• Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
• The use of the DoubleClick (DART) cookie and similar identifiers enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. To opt out of cookies from other advertising vendors, use www.aboutads.info.
• Third-party vendors and ad networks may also use cookies to serve ads on this site. We have no access to or control over these cookies; please consult each vendor's privacy policy.

6. Ads from local businesses

Besides AdSense, the portal displays ads booked directly by businesses in Lagoa Santa and the region, labeled as advertising. These ads do not use their own cookies and do not collect data from those who view them. Advertisers' data (name, contact details, billing information) is processed solely to perform the advertising contract.

We do not sell or transfer personal data. We share data only with: (a) Google LLC, for the statistics and advertising purposes described above; (b) the site's hosting provider and e-mail service, to the extent necessary for the portal to operate; (c) public authorities, where there is a legal obligation or court order. Some of these providers process data outside Brazil, in countries with a recognized level of protection or under contractual clauses, in accordance with Article 33 of the LGPD.

9. How long we keep data

• Contact messages: up to 2 years after the last contact, unless you request deletion earlier.
• Server access logs: 6 months, in accordance with Article 15 of the Marco Civil da Internet.
• Advertiser data: for the term of the contract plus 5 years, to meet tax obligations.
• Published photos and texts: for as long as they are online or until the author requests removal.
• Google cookies: periods set by Google, which can be checked in the policies linked above.

10. Your rights

Under Article 18 of the LGPD, you may, at any time and free of charge, request:

• confirmation that we process your data and access to it;
• correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
• anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed in breach of the law;
• portability of your data to another provider;
• information about whom we share your data with;
• withdrawal of consent and deletion of data processed on that basis;
• objection to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest.

To exercise any of these rights, write to diretoriasites@gmail.com with the subject line "LGPD". We will reply within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, you may file a complaint with the ANPD, Brazil's National Data Protection Authority.

11. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, the forms are protected against automated submissions, and messages are kept in accounts protected by passwords and two-step verification. No system is completely secure; if we identify an incident that could pose a significant risk to you, we will notify the ANPD and the affected data subjects as required by law.

12. Children and teenagers

The portal is not directed at anyone under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children. If a parent or guardian finds that a child has sent us data, simply request deletion at the e-mail address above.

13. External links

The site contains links to third-party websites, such as Thermas Lagoa Santa, the City Hall, public bodies and social networks. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please read each one's policies.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the law, in the tools we use or in the portal itself. The date at the top indicates the current version. Significant changes will be highlighted on the home page for a reasonable period.
