Lagoa Santa, in the state of Goiás, Brazil, has few hotels, and they are very different from one another. At one end is the Hotel Thermas Lagoa Santa, three stars, inside the hot-spring lagoon complex on GO-302, Km 19: 32 rooms with air conditioning, minibar and TV, pools with water slides, sauna, restaurant and, above all, 24-hour access to the lagoon with no admission fee. It is the choice for anyone who wants the dawn dip, when mist covers the water. It is also the highest price tier in town, with nightly rates for a couple that, as a 2023 reference, ranged from R$ 435 to R$ 575, Brazilian reais (approx. USD 79 to 105), depending on the meal plan.
Downtown, Balneário Kin Gin, on Rua João Inácio, is a case apart: a bathing park with five thermal-water pools, a water slide, a fountain, barbecue areas, green space, a restaurant and a playground that also operates as a guesthouse. For families with children who want a pool at the door without the Thermas price tag, it is the most talked-about alternative. Prices and hours are not published; ask at (64) 3640-1171 (from abroad: +55 64 3640-1171) or WhatsApp (64) 99957-9252.
The other downtown hotels are small, family-run and simple, close to the square and the restaurants, with no leisure facilities of their own. They serve well for anyone spending the day at the lagoon or the river who only needs a clean room, air conditioning and breakfast. Since the town has 1,400 residents and is flat, any of them is a few minutes' walk from everything and a few minutes' drive from Thermas.

How to choose
- Is the lagoon your priority? Hotel Thermas. Only guests get into the water in the early hours and use the pools. See everything in Thermas Lagoa Santa.
- Small children? Kin Gin, with shallow pools, a water slide and a playground on the same grounds. Details in Balneário Kin Gin.
- Tight budget? Downtown hotels or guesthouses, paying the lagoon day use (reference R$ 40) only on the days you go.
- Large group? Compare with houses and kitnets, which work out cheaper per person.
- Payment: Pix (Brazil's instant payment system) is accepted almost everywhere; cards, not always. Confirm when booking.
